Use the Extended Properties page in the Create Update Wizard or the Modify Update Wizard to configure extended property information about the custom update. Mandatory fields display with the required field indicator.
This page contains the following elements:
- Article ID
- Specifies the ID for the article that contains more information about the custom update. This is an optional field.
- CVE ID
- Specifies the Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) identification number that provides security information about the custom update. This is an optional field.
- Severity
- Specifies the severity for the custom update. This is a required field for custom updates with a Security Updates category type and it is optional for all others. The following values are available from the drop-down menu: None, Critical, Important, Moderate, and Low
- Support URL
- Specifies the URL where support information for the custom update is available. This is an optional field.
- More Info URL
- Specifies the URL where more information for the custom update is available. This is a required field.
- Impact
- Specifies the impact for custom update installation. This is an
optional field. The following values are available from the
drop-down menu:
- Normal: Indicates that the custom update requires
typical installation procedures. This is the default value.
- Minor: Indicates that the custom update requires minimal
installation procedures.
- Require Exclusive Handling: Indicates that the custom
update requires special installation procedures.
- Normal: Indicates that the custom update requires
typical installation procedures. This is the default value.
- Reboot Behavior
- Specifies the reboot behavior for the client after installing
the custom update. This is a required field, but a default value is
automatically populated. The following values are available from
the drop-down menu:
- Never reboots: Indicates that the client never performs
a system restart after installing the custom update.
- Always requires reboot: Indicates that the client always
performs a system restart after installing the custom update.
- Can request reboot: Indicates that the client requests a
system restart, only if necessary, after installing the custom
update. The user has the option to postpone the restart by
answering No to the restart request. This is the default
value.
- Never reboots: Indicates that the client never performs
a system restart after installing the custom update.
- Previous
- Returns to the previous page of the wizard.
- Next
- Moves to the next page of the wizard.
- Cancel
- Discards the settings and exits the wizard.
