Use the following procedure to limit the objects displayed in the VMM Administrator Console results pane based on the object properties. Different filters are available in each view.

When you move to a different view, the filters for the current view remain selected until you change the selection of filters, clear all filters, or exit the console.

How to apply and clear filters for a view
  1. In the navigation pane (left column), under Filters, click the arrow by a group name to display the filters that are available for that property. For example, in Jobs view, you can display filters for Status, Owner, and Start date.

  2. To apply a filter, select its check box. To remove a selected filter, clear its check box. The filters are applied immediately as you make your selections.

You can select more than one filter within a filter group. For example, in Jobs view, you might select Running and Failed in the Status group to view all jobs that might need your attention.

You can apply filters from multiple groups. For example, in Jobs view, you might select Running in the Status group and select Yesterday in the Start date group to view all jobs that have been running since yesterday.

  3. To clear all filters for the view, click Clear on the Filters bar.

    Note
After you create a filter, VMM will keep that filter active even after you close and reopen the VMM Administrator Console.
