Use the following procedure to start a session with a different Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) server while you work in the VMM Administrator Console. Both sessions remain open so that you can switch between the two VMM servers.

How to connect to a different Virtual Machine Manager server

  1. On the File menu, click Open New Connection.

  2. In the Connect to Server dialog box, enter the computer name of the Virtual Machine Manager server that you want to connect to.

  3. To make the new server the default VMM server when you open the VMM Administrator Console, select the Make this server my default check box.

  4. Click Connect. This opens a new session with the VMM Administrator Console. The other session remains open. You can switch between the two sessions by clicking the session in the taskbar at the bottom of the window.
