V2V: Requirements for Virtual Machines

For a successful virtual-to-virtual (V2V) conversion, the source virtual machine must have one of the following operating systems installed:

Windows Server 2008 (32-bit)
Windows Server 2008 (64-bit)
Windows Server 2003 (32-bit) SP1 or later
Windows Server 2003 (64-bit) SP1 or later
Windows 2000 Server SP4 or later
Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4 or later
Windows XP Professional (32-bit) SP2 or later
Windows XP Professional (64-bit) SP2 or later
Windows Vista (32-bit) SP1 or later
Windows Vista (64-bit) SP1 or later
