Use the following procedure to define a program framework from the Service Manager console.
To define a Program Framework
- In the Service Manager console, in the Navigation pane, select Compliance and Risk Items.
- In the Compliance and Risk Items pane, expand All Compliance and Risk Items, expand Program Management, and then select All Programs.
- In the All Programs view, select a program.
- In the Task pane, click Edit.
- In the Program Management <program_id>form, click the Framework Tab to view the Framework tab.
To add a new category in the Program Framework
- On the Framework tab, select either the Program node or Another Category under which you can add a new category, and then click Add Category.
- In the Add Program Category dialog box, define the category with information according to the items in the following table, and then click OK to add the new category.
- Click Apply to apply the changes to the new category that you specified in Step 2.

To add a Control Objective in the Program Framework
- On the Framework tab, select the Root Program node, Category or Control Objective under which you want to add a Control Objective, and then click Add Control Objective.
- In the Select objects dialog box, reference the desired Control Objective, select it, click Add, and then click OK to add it to the Program Framework.
- Click Apply to apply the changes to the Program Framework that you specified in Step 2.
To add a Control Activity in the Program Framework
- On the Framework tab, select a Control Objective under which you want to add a Control Activity, and then click Add Control Activity.
- In the Select objects dialog box, reference the desired Control Activity, select it, click Add, and then click OK to add it to the Program Framework.
- Click Apply to apply the changes to the Program Framework that you specified in Step 2.
To add a Risk in the Program Framework
- On the Framework tab, select the Program node, Category or Risk under which you want to add a risk, and then click Add Risk.
- In the Select objects dialog box, reference desired Risk, select it, click Add, and then click OK to add it to the Program Framework.
- Click Apply to apply the changes to the Program Framework that you specified in Step 2.
