Use the following procedure to create a new risk from the Service Manager console.

To create a new risk

  1. In the Service Manager console, in the Navigation pane, select Compliance and Risk Items.
  2. In the Compliance and Risk Items pane, expand All Compliance and Risk Items, expand Risk Management, and then select All Risks.
  3. In the Task pane, click Create Risk.
  4. The Risk <ri_id> form appears, where RI_id is the unique identifier for the new risk that you are creating.
  5. Complete the Risk <ri_id> form using the information in the following table, and then click OK to create a new risk.

  • Owner of the Risk
  • Impact, the loss due to this risk's occurrence.
  • Likelihood, the probability of this risk will occur
  • Control level, what is the level of control that exists in the organization to mitigate or reduce this risks occurrence.
  • Schedule of the Control Activity (Optional for automated control activities.)
