The Service Manager SDK documentation outlines a complete Service Manager solution to a common IT problem, the repackaging of software for client distribution. Both Service Manager and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager have solutions built around this problem domain, and the Service Manager SDK documentation is intended to complement both products with a unique solution.

Product Features

Each of the major Service Manager product features has its own documentation section, providing an overview of the feature and along with key scenarios related to the feature. Each scenario defines and provides one or many solution tasks.

Future Updates and You!

The SDK documentation is an ongoing project. Each release will continue to build on what has been created. The problem domain’s solution will continue to evolve into a complete Service Manager solution. And based on the feedback you provide, we’ll change things that make sense and benefit the Service Manager community. A way to picture the final SDK documentation is to think of it as a mountain. Currently, the documentation is the core foundation that is required for it to grow bigger. Each release of the documentation will build up by adding rich capabilities to the SDK.
