During the SCRM 2006 setup process, folders are created and files are copied to these folders. To protect the content of the files and folders, Access Control List (ACL) permissions are set on all folders and files. The ACL permissions determine which users and groups have read, write, or execute permissions for a specific file or files in a folder. The SCRM 2006 program files are installed under the Microsoft Report Manager directory. The following folders exist directly under this installation directory:

- Config
- DTS
- Help
- Microsoft Summary Reporting
- Reports
- Scripts
- Utilities
