The SCRM SMS site service (SCRMClientSvc.exe) on the SMS 2003 database computer is responsible for communication between the SMS 2003 database computer and the computer running SCRM 2006.
The service runs under the Local System account by default. If this is changed, the new account should be added to the SC DW SMS DTS local group on the SMS 2003 database computer and the computer running SCRM 2006.
The purpose of this service is to perform the following tasks:
- Transfer the SMS data to the shared folder on the
SCRM 2006 computer.
- Detect the completion of processing on the SCRM 2006
computer and mark synchronization as completed on the SMS 2003
database computer.
- Apply the job schedules configured on the SCRM 2006
Administrator console to SQL Agent jobs running on the
SMS 2003 database computer.
