The following procedure shows you how to create a device group by using Mobile Device Manager (MDM) Software Distribution Console. You can nest groups within any group except for the Unassigned Devicesgroup.

To create a device group

  1. In the navigation pane, expand Devices.

  2. In the All Devicessection, select the device group in which you want to create your new device group. This can be any device group except for the Unassigned Devicesgroup.

  3. Right-click the selected device group and then select Add Device Group.

  4. Type the name of the new device group in the Namebox, and then choose OK.
