The following procedure shows you how to remove a managed Windows Mobile device from a group by using Mobile Device Manager (MDM) Software Distribution Console. You can remove a managed device from all device groups except for the All Devicesgroup. By default, unless you completely remove the managed device from MDM software distribution server, it will remain in the All Devicesgroup. For more information, see Removing a Device from the Server.

To remove a device from a device group

  1. In the navigation pane, expand the Deviceslist and select the group that contains the managed devices that you want to remove.

  2. Right-click the managed device that you want to remove from a group, and then select Change Membership.

  3. In the Set Device Group Membershipbox, clear the device groups from which you want to remove the managed device, and then choose OK.
