The following procedure shows you how to remove a managed Windows Mobile device from System Center Mobile Device Manager (MDM). After you remove the managed device from MDM, you will be unable to manage its updates, and it will no longer be visible in MDM Software Distribution Console.

This procedure differs from the procedure in Removing a Device from a Group. In that procedure, you remove a managed device from a specific device group, not from MDM. After you remove a managed device from a group, it will remain in the All Devicesgroup.

To remove a device from a Windows Update for Windows Mobile server

  1. In the navigation pane, expand Devices, and then select the group that contains the managed device that you want to remove from the server.

  2. Select the managed device that you want to remove.

  3. Right-click the managed device and then select Delete.
