To uninstall MDM Device Management Server, you must be a member of the System Center Mobile Device Manager Administrators group in Active Directory. You must also be a member of the local Administrators group on the computer on which you are uninstalling MDM Device Management Server.

To uninstall MDM Device Management Server

  1. On the MDM installation CD, run Setup.exe.

  2. On the Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008dialog box Startmenu, in the Installsection, select Device Management Server.

  3. In the Welcome to the System Center Device Manager - Device Management Server Setup Wizarddialog box, choose Next.

  4. In the Repair or remove installationdialog box, choose Remove.

    In the Remove Device Management server Databasesdialog box, to remove all data in the MDM Device Management Server databases, select Remove Device Management Server Databases, and then choose Next.

    Note:
    This dialog box will not appear unless you are uninstalling the only installation of MDM Device Management Server in the domain.

  5. In the Ready to Removedialog box, choose Remove.

  6. Choose Next.

  7. Choose Finish.
