System requirements

• The following system requirements apply to SCM:
• Windows® 7 x64 Edition operating system.
• Windows Server® 2008 or Windows Server® 2008 R2.
• Microsoft® .NET Framework 4 on the client computers in the environment.
• Microsoft SQL Server® 2005, SQL Server® 2008 or SQL Server® 2008 R2 on the computer running SCM.
• Administrator privileges to run the LocalGPO command-line tool.
• 500 megabytes (MB) of RAM or more.
• 40-MB hard disk space.
• Windows® Installer v4.5.
• Microsoft Visual® C++ 2010 (included in the SCM Windows Installer).
• Microsoft Excel® 2007 or later (optional).

Note   If you do not have one of these versions of SQL Server available, the SCM Windows Installer will provide you with SQL Server® Express at no cost.
