System Center Essentials Create Task Wizard: Task Type Page

Command line: Indicates that the task being created runs a command line application or batch file.
Run a script: Indicates that the task being created runs a script on an agent computer.

Use this page of the Create Task wizard to select the type of task to create.

The Select a Task Type page contains the elements described in the following table.

Name	Description
Select the type of task to create	Displays categories of tasks that identify the type of action taken by the task.
Agent Tasks	Categorizes the following tasks that run either on the Essentials 2010 management server or a managed computer. Command line: Indicates that the task being created runs a command line application or batch file. Run a script: Indicates that the task being created runs a script on an agent computer.
Console Tasks	Categorizes the following tasks that are started in the Essentials 2010 console and run against items displayed in the console window. Alert Command line: Indicates that the task being created targets an alert and that the task runs a command line application or batch file. Command line: Indicates that the task being created runs a command line application or batch file. Event Command line: Indicates that the task being created targets an event and that the task runs a command line application or batch file.
Select destination management pack	Specifies in which management pack the new task is stored.
New	Opens the Create a Management Pack Wizard.
