Note
In the template network properties, the Not Connected value is the only available value in the box if you have not designated a host. After you designate a host, the network connection will be available when you create a new virtual machine or change the properties of an existing virtual machine.

Virtual Machine Processors

Specify the processor resources that you want the virtual machine to use. The default value is 1.

Virtual Machine Memory

Specify the amount of memory on a host that you want to allocate to the virtual machine. The default value is 512 MB.

Virtual Machine Hard Disks

Specify the amount of disk space on a host that you want to allocate to the virtual machine. The default value is 20 GB.

Virtual Machine Network Connections

Specify which network connections from the host computer you want the virtual machine to use. No network connection will be configured unless you choose an available connection from the drop-down list box. If the virtual machine is on a host server with the Hyper-V role enabled and guest services are installed, select the check box Optimize network performance for Hyper-V.

Operating System

Choose whether to install an operating system from a DVD or an ISO image. If you want to install an operating system from an ISO image and the file does not appear in the list, use Windows Explorer to locate and add the ISO file to the library folder, and then click Refresh List to update the library and select the file.
