For information about creating a distributed application monitoring object and descriptions of the settings contained in the Distributed Application Designer, see How to Create a Distributed Application Service in System Center Essentials.

To edit an existing distributed application monitoring object

In the results pane, right-click the distributed application monitoring object that you want to change and then click Edit. The Distributed Application Designer starts, displaying the settings of your distributed application monitoring object.

  2. After you edit the settings, click File and then click Save to save your changes to the original distributed application monitoring object. You can also click Save Distributed Application Definition to create a new distributed application to which the original settings and the changes are saved. Also, you can click Save as Template to use the settings when creating new distributed applications.
