In Essentials 2007, once and update package is deployed you can check to see its status. You can use this status display to find out information such as the completion percentage of an installation still in progress, whether the update package installed successfully, or if the computer has been contacted.
To view the status of deployment

In the Essentials 2007 console, click the Updates button.

In the Updates navigation pane, select the category for which you want to view the status of deployment.

In the Actions pane, double-click the Deployment Status report.

The result pane displays the deployment status of the updates.
