Version is the version of the report, in Configuration Manager.
Instances: 0 or one.
The use of the report version for software inventory and hardware inventory reports is new to Configuration Manager. Any report that goes through the Configuration Manager management point uses the following versioning scheme, and hence chronological order must be observed.
The report is in the <major>.<minor> format. For example,
1.0 indicates that this is the first full report.
2.25 indicates that this is chronologically the 25th delta report from a 2nd delta.
Each full report will be accepted by the user. Succeeding delta reports should be in chronological order both in date and in this numeric formatting. Reports that do not adhere to this versioning scheme will be rejected and as a result, the server will request a re-synchronization.
