To add a procedure to a namespace

1. Open Provisioning Manager.
2. In the console tree, double-click Namespaces.
3. Right-click the namespace to which you want to add a procedure, and then click New Procedure.
4. In the New Named Procedure Properties dialog box, click the General tab, and then, in the spaces provided, type the appropriate information.
5. Click the XML tab and, in the Procedure XML text box, add the XML code and text for the procedure.
6. Click the Security tab, and then click Add.
7. In text box provided in Select Users, Computers, or Groups, enter the user or group to whom you want to grant permissions for this procedure, click Check Names, and then click OK.
8. On the Security tab, click the user or group name that you added.
9. In Permissions, select Allow or Deny, and then click OK.

Notes

• To open Provisioning Manager, click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Provisioning Server, and then click Provisioning Manager.
• The red highlighting for a namespace in the console tree indicates a read-only namespace. You cannot add a procedure to a read-only namespace.
