In an environment where you have created multiple management servers, each management server requires sufficient rights to write data into both the Operations Manager database and the Reporting data warehouse.

If this is not configured during setup, you need to add each additional management server to either the Data Warehouse SQL Authentication Account or the Reporting SDK SQL Server Authentication Account Run As Profile.

For more information, see Reporting Deployment in Operations Manager 2007.

Use the following procedure to add each management server to a Run As Profile.

To add management servers to a Run As Profile

  1. Log on to the computer with an account that is a member of the Operations Manager Administrators role for the Operations Manager 2007 management group.

  2. In the Operations console, click the Administration button.

  3. In the Administration pane, expand Administration, expand Security, and then click Run As Profiles.

  4. In the Run As Profiles pane, right-click either Data Warehouse SQL Server Authentication Account or Reporting SDK SQL Server Authentication Account, and then click Properties.

  5. In the Run As Profile Properties dialog box, click the Run As Accounts tab, and then click New. The Add Alternate Run as Account dialog box opens.

  6. Click the Run As Account arrow and select the appropriate Run As Account, either Data Warehouse SQL Server Authentication Account or Reporting SDK SQL Server Authentication Account.

  7. Under Matching Computers, click the computer or computers that host a management server, and then click OK.

  8. In the Run As Profile Properties dialog box, click OK.
