Create Notification Subscription Wizard: Formats Page

Use this page to configure the formats used for notifications. The formats available on this page are determined by notification devices previously defined for notification recipients.

You can change the Subject and Message values for any format by clicking the corresponding Placeholder button to choose from predefined alert properties.

This page contains the elements described in the following table.

Name	Description
Use the default email format	Indicates that the default e-mail format specified for the notification device is used.
Use this custom email format	Indicates that a custom e-mail format is used for the notification.
Subject	Displays the subject of the e-mail notification. You can change this value by clicking Placeholder, or you can manually enter the subject.
Placeholder	Selects the subject of the e-mail notification from a predefined list of alert properties.
Message	Displays the message of the e-mail notification. You can change this value by clicking Placeholder, or you can manually enter the message.
Generate subject line with no encoding (use if notification e-mails contain malformed subject lines)	Corrects an issue where the subject line in e-mail notifications might contain malformed data as the result of using an earlier version of an e-mail server.
Placeholder	Selects the message of the e-mail notification from a predefined list of alert properties.
Use the default IM format	Indicates that the default instant-message format specified for the notification device is used.
Use this custom IM format	Indicates that a custom instant-message format is used for the notification.
Message	Displays the message of the instant-message notification. You can change this value by clicking Placeholder, or you can manually enter the message.
Placeholder	Selects the message of the instant-message notification from a predefined list of alert properties.
Use the default SMS format	Indicates that the default short message service (SMS) message format specified for the notification device is used.
Use this custom SMS format	Indicates that a custom SMS message format is used for the notification.
Subject	Displays the subject of the SMS text message notification. You can change this value by clicking Placeholder, or you can manually enter the subject.
Placeholder	Selects the subject of the SMS text message notification from a predefined list of alert properties.
Encoding	Selects the encoding type used by the e-mail format.
