After you create tasks in the MOM Administrator console, you can perform actions on, and run the tasks from the Taskspane in the MOM Operator console. When you create an Operator console taskyou can define the view type as: Alert, Event, or Computer.
In the Operator console, you can work only with the tasks that are specific to the view type that you assigned to the task. For example, if you create Alert view tasks, when you click Alertsin the Navigation pane, all alert tasks appear as active in the Tasks pane. However, when you click Eventsin the Navigation pane, only tasks that are specific to events appear as active in the Task pane; the alert tasks appear as inactive.
Note
Run-time tasks, such as Management Server or agent-managed computer, always appear active (enabled) in the Operator console.
