You can search for Help topics by using any word, not just those that have been defined as keywords in the index. To do so, use the Searchtab in the Help Viewer.
To perform a basic search, you can use a single word or phrase. To create more complex searches, you can use search queries that include wildcard characters and nested expressions.
When searching for Help topics, keep the following guidelines in mind:
If you are searching for a file name with an extension, group the entire string in quotation marks (for example, " filename.ext"). Otherwise, the period will break the file name into two separate words. The default operator between terms is AND, so you create the logical equivalent of "filename AND ext".
