Computer View Properties: Criteria

Criteria
This tab has two input areas, one for selecting computers and one for specifying the corresponding descriptive parameters that are used to qualify the computer that you select. In the Which computers do you want to view?list, select a computer by clicking the check box beside the descriptive parameter that you want. When you select an item, a corresponding hyperlink is displayed in the View description (click the underlined value to edit)input area. Click the hyperlink to open a dialog box, and then provide the required information. The following table lists the available parameters and describes the associated information you are prompted to provide.

If you do not specify any computers, all the computers in the management group are part of the Computers view.

Computers Required view description information
with specified state Click the link to open the Statedialog box. Select the appropriate check box to identify the type of state that you want to use. The following choices are available:
  • Information
  • Error
  • Security Issue
  • Success
  • Warning
  • Critical Error
  • Service Unavailable
  • No Alerts
with Open Alerts All computers with Open Alerts are in the view. Use other criteria to qualify the Open Alerts. For example, computers with a specified nameor in a specified computer group.
with specified severity alerts that are not resolved Click the link to open the Alert Severitydialog box. Select the appropriate check box to identify the level of alert severity that you want to use. The following choices are available:
  • Success
  • Information
  • Warning
  • Error
  • Critical Error
  • Security Issue
  • Service Unavailable
with specified name Click the link to open the Computer Namedialog box. Type a complete text string or use wildcards to provide the Domainand Computerinformation.
in specified computer group Click the link to open the Computer Groupdialog box. Type a complete text string or use wildcards to identify the computer group.
with specified FQDN Click the link to open the FQDNdialog box. Type a complete text string or use wildcards to identify the FQDN.
with no heartbeat in specified time range Click the link to open the Heartbeat Timedialog box to specify a time range. This option takes the format of time value and time measurement. Type an integer to specify the time value, and click the arrow to select one of the following time measurements:
  • days
  • hours
  • minutes
  • seconds
running Microsoft Operations Manager agent All computers with the agent installed are in the view. Use other criteria to qualify this selection. For example, computers with a specified description.
with specified description Click the link to open the Computer Descriptiondialog box. Type a complete text string or use wildcards to identify the computer description.
with specified CustomData n Click the link to open the Custom Data ndialog box. Type a complete text string or use wildcards to identify the custom data.
