Event Rule Properties: Responses, Update state variable—State Variable Update

Enables you to view, add, remove, and edit the state variable update operations to perform as a response. The available fields are defined as follows:

Variable Name

Specify the name of the state variable to update.

Action

Specify the action to perform on the state variable.

Value

Specify the value, if any, to which to change the state variable.

Perform the operation

Enables you to specify whether to update the state variable on the agent-managed computer or on the management server. The updated state variables are available to scripts that run where the variables are updated. If you select Locally on the agent computer, the updated state variables are available to scripts that run on the agent-managed computer.

Locally on the agent computer

Specify that the state variable is updated on the agent-managed computer.

Centrally on the Management Server

Specify that the state variable is updated on the management server computer.

To add a new state variable update operation, click Add.

To remove a state variable update operation, select the state variable update operation you want to remove and click Remove.

To edit a state variable update operation, select the state variable update operation you want to edit and click Edit.
