Use this node to view, create, or find alert rules. Alert rules define how Microsoft® Operations Manager (MOM) finds and responds to alerts. An alert rule can specify what alerts properties MOM should look for, for example, from a particular alert source or severity level. From the Alert Rules node, you can also respond to an alert.
To create an alert rule
- In the Navigation pane, right-click Alert Rules, and then click Create Alert Rule.
To find a rule
- In the Navigation pane, right-click Alert Rules, and then click Find Rules.
To respond to an alert
- In the Navigation pane, right-click Alert Rules, and then click Respond to Alert.
