Notification Groups

View, create, edit, and delete notification groups. You can also add operators to a notification group.

Depending on the Management Pack modules installed, notification groups might contain default groups configured to receive notifications from rules defined in the Management Pack modules. For information about the notification group associated with a Management Pack module, see the Management Pack module Knowledge Base.

To create a notification group

1. In the Navigation pane, right-click Notification Groups, and click Create Notification Group.
2. Follow the instructions in the Notification Groups Propertiesdialog box.

To edit a notification group

1. In either the Navigation or Detail pane, right-click a notification group, and click Properties.
2. In the Notification Grouptab, click New Operator.
3. Follow the instructions in the Operator Propertiesdialog boxes. You can add or remove operators from the group, edit existing operators, or create new operators.

To delete a notification group

1. In either the Navigation or Detail pane, right-click a notification group, and then click Delete
2. When the Delete the selected notification groupmessage appears, click Yes.

     Note   

   You must delete all references to the group before you can delete the notification group. If you have not deleted all the references, a message appears asking you to delete all references to the group.
