Management Pack Import/Export Wizard: Management Pack Name

Use this page in the wizard to provide the location and name for the Management Pack that you are exporting. You can also specify overwrite handling if the Management Pack already exists.

This page contains the following options:

Select the name and location of the Management Packs file

Click Browseto navigate to the folder where the Management Pack is located. Click the name of the Management Pack (.akm file), and then click Open.

Overwrite Handling

If the Management Pack already exists you have these options:

Overwrite the existing Management Packs file

Select to overwrite the existing Management Pack with the Management Pack that you are exporting. This is the default option.

Append to the existing Management Packs file

Select this option if you want to append the Management Pack that you are exporting to an existing Management Pack. Also use this option if you are creating a new Management Pack.

Management Pack Types (authoring mode only)

If you enable Management Pack authoring mode, you can select from the following options:

Export full Management Pack

Select to export the full Management Pack. The knowledge base is editable, and includes rules marked for deletion. This is the default option.

Export retail Management Pack

Select this option if you want to export the retail version of the Management Pack. The knowledge base is read-only, and any rules marked for deletion are dropped.
