Use this tab to specify the source of the data or events matched by the rule.
This tab contains the following options:
- Provider name
- Select a provider name from the list box. Based on the provider name that you select, the information in the following Provider typeand Provider settingsfields is updated.
- Provider type
- Displays the name of the data provider type for the selected provider. For example, Windows event log, Windows performance counter, or timed event provider. This field is read-only.
- Provider settings
- Describes the settings for the provider instance. This field is read-only.
Click Newto create a new provider.
Click Modifyto modify a performance rule provider type. Modifyis available only when viewing the properties for performance rules.
