Use this tab to specify settings that MOM Management Servers use when sending e-mail to notification groups.
This tab contains the following options:
- Transport
- Specifies the e-mail transport provider. Only Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is supported in Microsoft® Operations Manager (MOM) 2005. This field is read-only.
- Server name
- Specify the name of the SMTP server. You can specify the DNS name or the host name of the computer.
- Returned address
- Specify the Internet return address for the message sender.
- Character set
- Specify the defined list of characters to use for e-mail. MOM supports UTF-8 and Windows-1252.
- SMTP Port
- Specify the TCP port number that the SMTP server uses.
