Change an Unmanaged Computer to an Agent-managed Computer

Use the MOM Administrator console to change how computers are managed. To change an unmanaged computer to an agent-managed computer, you must install an agent on the computer.

To change an unmanaged computer to an agent-managed computer

  1. In the Navigation pane, expand Administration, and click Computers.
  2. In the Detail pane, click Unmanaged Computers, right-click the name of the unmanaged computer with which you want to work, and click Install Agentto start the Install Agent Wizard.
  3. Follow the instructions in the wizard to install the agent on the computer.

After the agent is installed, the computer is listed in the Navigation pane in the Agent-managed Computers node of Administration/Computers.
