Change an Agent-managed Computer to an Agentless Managed Computer

Use the MOM Administrator console to change how computers are managed. To change an agent-managed computer to an agentless managed computer, you must uninstall the agent on the agent-managed computer to begin agentless management.

To change an agent-managed computer to an agentless managed computer

  1. In the Navigation pane, expand Administration, and click Computers.
  2. In the Detail pane, click Agent-managed Computersto display the list of agent-managed computers.
  3. In the Detail pane, right-click the name of the agent-managed computer with which you want to work, and click Uninstall Agent.
  4. In the Uninstall Agentsdialog box, click OKto uninstall the agent.
  5. In the Navigation pane, click Unmanagedcomputers. The now-unmanaged computer should appear in the Detail pane.
  6. In the Detail pane, right-click the computer, and then click Start Agentless Managementto start agentless management.
  7. When the Are you sure you want to start remotely managing...message appears, click Yes.

After the agent is removed, the computer is listed in the Navigation pane in the Agentless Managed Computers node of Administration/Computers.
