Send Syslog Message

The Send Syslog Log Message object will create a message on the Syslog server that you specify.

How it is used

The Send Syslog Message object can be used to create audit logs on the Syslog server of any problems that may occur while trying to correct issues using an automated Policy.

Configuration

To configure the Send Syslog Message object you will need to know the text of the message that you are creating and the location of the syslog server.

Computer	Type the name of the computer that contains the Syslog server that you are writing the message to. You can also use the ellipsis (...) button to browse for the computer.
Text	Type the message of the event log entry.
Priority	Select the priority that is appropriate for this message.
Facility	Select the facility that this message belongs to.

Computer	The computer where the Syslog server is located.
Priority	The priority of the message.
Facility	The facility that the message belongs to.
Message	The text of the message.
