Process Email
The Process Email object will reply,
forward, redirect, and delete email that has been received by the
Read Email object or filtered with the Filter Email object.
How it is used
The Process Email object can be used
to automatically reply to email that have been sent to a designated
message to give the sender a notice that the email has been
received as is being processed. You could also use the Process
Email object to redirect email that have been sorted to the
appropriate person within your organization.
Configuration
When configuring the Process Email
object you need to choose the action that you are taking on the
email and then configure the associated tabs.
To select the type of
action you want to take:

Open the Process Email object for
editing.

Reply - Details Tab
Message
|
Select how you want the message
to be entered for this email:
•
|
Text
- Type the message body. To use HTML formatting, you will need to
select HTML as the Format on the Advanced tab.
|

|
File
- Type the file that contains the message body. You can also use
the ellipsis (...) button to
browse for the file.
|
|
Add a copy of the mail
received
|
Select to add the original
message in the reply.
|
Copy marker
|
Select or type characters that
will be place before each line of the original message when it is
added to the reply.
|
Recipients
|
The list displays the email
addresses that the email will be sent to. To remove an item, select
it and click Remove. To edit an item,
double-click it. To add an item, click Add, specify the Email
address and whether it belongs in the Cc: or Bcc: field and
click OK.

Reply - Attachments Tab
Attachments
|
The list displays the
attachments that will be sent with the email. To remove an item,
select it and click Remove. To edit an
item, double-click it. To add an item, click Add, specify the path of the attachment and click
OK.

Fail if an attachment is
missing
|
Select to cause the Process
Email object to fail if any of the attachments cannot be found when
the email is being sent.

Reply - Advanced Tab
Priority
|
Select the priority that the
email will be sent with.
|
Format
|
Select the format that will be
used for the message body. Some SPAM filters may not allow Rich
Text or HTML email.
|
User Id
|
If your SMTP server requires
authentication, you will need to type the user Id that will be used
to send the email.
|
Password
|
Type the password that is
associated with the User Id.
|
Reply - Connect Tab
Computer
|
Type the name of the SMTP
server. You can also use the ellipsis (...) button to browse for the server.
|
Port
|
Select to change the port that
will be used to connect to the SMTP server. The default port is
25.
|
Recipient address of the
processed message
|
Select to insert the email
address of the recipient of the original message into the
From: field of the
reply.
|
This email address
|
Select and type the email
address that will be inserted into the From: field of the email.
|

Subject
|
Type the subject of the
forwarded message.
|
Message
|
Select how you want the message
to be entered for this email:

Delete from Server - Details
Tab
You do not need to perform any
configuration to delete the messages from the server. However, you
will need to have set the Read Email object to Leave mail on server.
