Configuring the Smarts InCharge
Connection
The Opalis Integration Pack for
Smarts InCharge provides a single location to specify the
connection information to the Smarts InCharge server. All objects
in this Integration Pack will use the same information to connect
to the server.
To configure the Smarts
InCharge connection:

In the Opalis Integration Server
Client, click the Options
menu and select EMC Smarts.
The EMC Smarts
Configuration dialog appears.

In the Path field, type the path to the Smarts
Adapater Platform that you want to use.
|

|
Click Add. The EMC Smarts Connection dialog
appears.
|
4.
|
In the Name field, type a name for this
connection.
|
5.
|
In the Computer field, type the name of the
computer where the InCharge Broker is located, or use the ellipsis
(…) button to browse for
it.

6.
|
In the Port field, type the port that the
InCharge Broker computer uses for Smarts InCharge
connections.
|
7.
|
In the Manager field, type the name of the
Smarts Manager that you want to use.
|
8.
|
Classify the type of connection
you are creating:

|
Check the IP Availability Manager check box if
this connection will use the IP Availability Manager.
|
•
|
Check the Service Assurance Manager check box if
this connection will use the Service Assurance Manager.
|
9.
|
In the User field, type the user name that you
need to access Smarts.
|
10.
|
Click OK. The EMC Smarts Configuration dialog
appears.

11.
|
Repeat steps 3 to 10 for each connection
that you want to add.

12.
|
To test the connection, click
Test Connection.
