Create Message
The Create Message object will create a new message on the OpenView Operations server.How it is usedThe Create Message object can be used to create a message in OpenView Operations that originated from another system monitor product.ConfigurationTo configure the Create Message object you need to know the OpenView Operations server that you are connecting to, the severity of the message, as well as the group, object, text, and node of the message.Details tab
OVO-W Server Type the name of the Management Server connection that you want to use, or click the ellipsis (…) button and browse for it. You must configure the available connections through the HP OpenView Operations (Windows) Options dialog. Severity Select the severity of the message that you are creating. Application Type the name of the application that is generating the message. Message Group Type the name of the Message Group that this message will be associated with. Make sure that the name of the Group matches a Group that is defined in the HP OpenView Operations server. Object Type the name of the object that originated the message within the application. Message Text Type the description of the message. Optional strings Type the optional variables that will be passed as part of the message. Node Type the name of the managed node that originated the message. Verify that the name of the node matches a node that is defined in the HP OpenView Operations server.Available Published Data
Name Description Message Id The Id of the message that was created. Severity The severity of the message that was created. Application The application where the message originated. Message group The OpenView Operations Message Group that the message belongs to. Object The object within the application that generated the message. Message text The description text of the message. Optional string The optional variables defined for this message. Node The managed node where the message originated. OVO-W server The name of the OpenView Operations server where the message is stored.
