Connecting to the HP OpenView Operations Server
The Integration Pack for HP OpenView Operations provides a single location to specify the connection information to your HP OpenView Operations server. Any Policy running on the Action Server that you have configured will use the same connection information to communicate with the HP OpenView Operations server. You must create one connection for each HP OpenView Operations server that you want to connect to.
To connect to the HP OpenView Operations server:
1.
In the Opalis Integration Server Client, click the Options menu and select HP OVO Windows. The HP OpenView Operations (Windows) Settings dialog appears.
2.
Click Add. The Management Server dialog appears.
3.
In the Computer field, type the name of the computer that hosts the Opalis Web Services for HP Open View Operations. For more information about the web services, see Installing the Web Services for HP OpenView Operations.
4.
In the Ports section of the dialog, type the port number through which each object will communicate with the Opalis Web Services in the field to the right of each object name. Each object must use its own port.
5.
In the Username field, type the user name to connect to the HP OpenView server database.
6.
In the Password field, type the password associated with the user name.
7.
Click OK.
8.
To test the connection to the server, click Test connection. To remove or edit a connection, click Remove or Edit.
9.
Click Finish.
