Set Scheduled Outage
The Set Scheduled Outage object causes HP OpenView to ignore a collection of messages that match rules that you specify. Any messages that you disable using the Set Scheduled Outage object can also be re-enabled using the Set Scheduled Outage object using the Opalis generated ID of the rule that was created.Note: When setting a scheduled outage it is important to save the outage Id somewhere where it can be retrieved so that the outage can be disabled later.How it is usedYou can use the Set Scheduled Outage object to ignore a collection of messages at the start of maintenance procedure to prevent false messages from being generated that are related to the maintenance procedure that you are performing.ConfigurationTo configure the Set Scheduled Outage object you will need to know the rules that define the messages that you are ignoring or the ID of the message that you are re-enabling.Details tab
Add scheduled outage Select to add a scheduled outage. You will need to specify rules that will be used to define the messages that will be ignored by the OpenView Operations server. Remove scheduled outage Select to remove a scheduled outage that you have created using the Set Scheduled Outage object. Outage Id Type the Id of the outage that you created previously using a Set Scheduled Outage object. It is recommended to use Execution Data from a previous object to set the Id. Rules The list shows all the rules for the outage that you have configured. To edit or remove a rule, select the item and click Edit or Remove respectively. To add a filter, see the instructions below.To add a rule:
1. Click Add. The Rule dialog appears.
2. From the Field drop-down list, select the field that you want to generate a rule for.
3. From the Relation drop-down list, select the relation that will be used to compare the value of the field to the Value that you will specify.
4. In the Value field, type or select the value that will be compared to the value of the field that you specified and click OK. The rule is added to the list.Note: When specifying a rule that uses the Node field, you must specify the node using the IP address.Available Published Data
Name Description Outage Id The Id of the outage that was added or removed.
