Move Computer

The Move Computer object enables you to move an existing computer to a different parent container.

How it is used

Use the Move Computer to automatically move a computer to another OU within the same forest.

Configuration

To configure the Move Computer object you need to know which connection you would like to use, the idenity of the computer that you will be moving, and the identity of the parent container that will provide residence for the computer.

Properties Tab

 

Connection	Click the ellipsis button (...) and select the Microsoft Active Directory connection that you want to use.
Identity	Type the DN, SID, GUID, UPN or Domain\Name of the computer you want to move.
NewParentContainer	Type the DN of the parent container that will provide residence for the computer.

Name	Description
Command	The powershell command that was executed for this object.
Count	The number of items returned by the powershell command.
Identity	The identity of the computer.
NewParentContainer	The parent container where the computer was moved to.
Standard output	The standard out stream that was returned by the powershell command.
