Get Alert
The Get Alert object will retrieve alerts from MOM that match a filter.
How it is used
You can use the Get Alert object to retrieve a message and replicate the information to a trouble ticketing system.
Configuration
To configure the Get Alert object you will need to know the MOM server you are connecting to and the properties that will specify the messages that you are retrieving.

Server
Type the name of the MOM 2005 connection information that you want to use. You can use the ellipsis () button to browse for the connection. For more information about connecting to MOM, see Connecting to MOM 2005.
Filters
The list shows all the MOM alert filters that you have configured. To edit or remove a filter, select the item and click Edit or Remove respectively. To add a filter, see the instructions below.
To add a filter:
1.
Click Add. The Add Filter dialog appears.
2.
From the Field drop-down list, select the field that you want to search in.
3.
From the Relation drop-down list, select the type of relation that you want to use in your search.
4.
In the Value field, type or select the value that will be compared to the item that you selected from the Field drop-down list and click OK. The filter is added to the list.

Description
MOM server
The name of the MOM server computer.
Number of alerts
The number of alerts that were retrieved.
For each alert:
Alert ID
A unique ID that is used by MOM to identify each alert in the database. This can be used in the Update MOM Alert task.
Computer name
The name of the computer that raised the alert.
CustomField1
The value of the 1st custom field.
CustomField2
The value of the 2nd custom field.
CustomField3
The value of the 3rd custom field.
CustomField4
The value of the 4th custom field.
CustomField5
The value of the 5th custom field.
Alert description
The description of the MOM alert.
Alert name
The name of the MOM alert.
Alert owner
The account name that owns the alert.
Source
The name of the Windows service that was the source of the alert.
Time of last state change
The last time that the state of the alert changed in UTC format.
Modified by
The last user to change the alert’s state. If the alert was automatically resolved without user intervention, the value will be AutoResolved.
Repeat count
For consolidated events, the number of repeat occurrences.
Resolution state
The current resolution state number of the alert.
Resolved by
The name of the user that resolved the alert.
Severity
The severity level of the alert.
Time of last state or properties change
The time the alert’s state or properties last changed in UTC format.
Time of first event
For consolidated events, the time the first event was raised in UTC format.
Time of last event
For consolidated events, the time the last event was raised in UTC format.
Time raised
The time at which the alert was raised in UTC format.
Time resolved
The time at which the alert was resolved in UTC format.
