Connecting to HP iLO and OA
Before you can use the objects in this Integration Pack, you must create a connection to each HP iLO and OA server that you want to use. Then, when you use an object, you select the connection that you want that object to use.
To create connections to HP iLO and OA:
1.
In the Opalis Integration Server Client, click the Options menu and select HP iLO and OA. The Connections dialog appears.
2.
Click Add. The Connection dialog appears.
3.
In the Name field, type a name for the connection.
4.
In the Address field, type the IP address of the HP iLO blade server or HP OA enclosure that you want this connection to communicate with.
5.
In the User field, type the user name that you need to access the HP iLO blade server or HP OA enclosure.
6.
In the Password field, type the password that you need to access the HP iLO blade server or HP OA enclosure.
7.
If you need a private key to connect to the HP iLO blade server or HP OA enclosure, click the ellipsis button (...) to the right of the Private key field and browse for the private key.
8.
HP iLO and OA allow two connections to a blade server or enclosure at one time. If you use more than two instances of the objects in this Integration Pack in your Policies, Opalis Software Inc. recommends that you configure the number times that the objects will attempt to connect to a blade server or enclosure if it is refused by HP iLO and OA. In the Attempts field, type the number of times that the objects should attempt to connect to the HP iLO blade server or HP OA enclosure. In the Time between attempts field, type the amount of time, in seconds, that must pass between each attempt.
9.
Click OK. The Connections dialog appears. The connection that you created appears in the list.
10.
Repeat steps 2 to 9 for each connection that you want to create. To test the connection, click Test Connection.
11.
Click Finish.
