Get Global Variable

The Get Global Variable object enables you to collect the value of a global variable from CA AutoSys WA.

How it is used

Use the Get Global Variable object to collect the value of a global variable and insert it into another object as a Published Data item.

Configuration

To configure the Get Global Variable object you need to know the name of the connection you want to use, and the values of the fields that you will have to configure as part of this operation.

Details Tab

 

Name	Click the ellipsis button (...) and select the connection that you want to use.
global_name	Click in the field to the right of the word global_name and type the global variable name that you want to get the value for.

Name	Description
Command line	The command that was sent to CA AutoSys WA.
AutoSys connection	The CA AutoSys WA connection that was used.
Error output	The error output returned by the CA AutoSys WA command.
Exit code	The exit code returned by the CA AutoSys WA command.
Standard output	The output returned by the CA AutoSys WA command.
Status	The status of the job.
