Connecting to BladeLogic
Servers
The Opalis Integration Pack for
BladeLogic Operations Manager can connect to any BladeLogic server
on your network. You configure the connections once, then select
them when they are needed in objects that connect to a BladeLogic
server.
To add a BladeLogic server
connection:
1.

In the Opalis Integration Server
Client, click the Options
menu and select BladeLogic
Operations Manager. The
BladeLogic Operations
Manager dialog appears.

Click Add. The Connection entry dialog appears.

In the Name field, type a name for the
connection that you are creating.
|

Click the ellipsis button
(...) to the right of the
Service profile field. The
Service Profiles dialog appears. Select a
service profile from the list.

If you select the SRP type,
provide the BladeLogic username and password in the fields in the
Credentials section of the
dialog. The Credentials
section of the dialog changes according to the selection you
make.

If you select the ADK type,
select a login.conf file in the Credentials section of the dialog. The
Credentials section of the
dialog changes according to the selection you make.

5.

In the Role field, type the name of the role
that you want to use.
|

Click OK. The BladeLogic Operations Manager dialog
appears. The connection that you created appears in the list.

7.

To test a connection, select a
connection and click Test
Connection.
|
8.
|
Click Finish to close the dialog. To remove
or edit an item, select it and click Remove or Edit, respectively.
