Update Device
The Update Device object enables you
to change the information about a device managed by CA
Spectrum.
How it is used
Use the Update Device object to
change the information about a device based on new configuration
changes that are detected by a policy.
Configuration
To configure the Update Device
object you need to know the name of the connection to the CA
Spectrum server that you will use, the identification number of the
device that you want to update as well as the fields that you want
to update.

Name

Click the ellipsis button
(...) and browse for the CA
Spectrum connection that you want to use.

ID
|
Type the identification number
of the device that you are updating.

Fields
|
Select the information fields of the
device that you are updating:

Click Select Fields. The Add/Remove Property dialog
appears.
|

In the Available list, select a field that you
want to add to the event and click >>. The field moves to the
Selected list. Repeat this
step for each field that you want to add to the device.

Click OK. The Properties dialog appears. The fields
that you selected appear in the list.

Click in the field to the right
of each field name and type the corresponding value, or insert a
Published Data item.

|
The ID of the device in the CA
Spectrum system.

|
The name of the server where
the alarm that matched the criteria originated.

The name of the user account
