The Create Message object enables
you to create a CA Unicenter NSM server message that includes
fields that you specify.
Use the Create Message object to
create a message in CA Unicenter NSM to report a problem that an
Opalis monitor object, such as the Monitor Service object,
discovers a problem.
To configure the Monitor Message
object you need to know the name of the CA Unicenter NSM server,
the username and password that you need to access that server, and
the criteria that you will use to search for messages.

message in the CA Unicenter NSM client (blink, reverse,
etc.).

MessageNumber
|
The relative position of the
message from the beginning of the log file in CA Unicenter
NSM.

Node
|
The node on which the message
originated.

Severity
|
The severity level attached to
the message.
|
Station
|
The workstation associated with
the message.
|
Text
|
The text of the message.
|
Device
|
The IP address of the device
that caused the event.

Category
|
The classification of the event
that generated the message as defined by your enterprise.

Source
|
Identifies the facility where
the message originated.

Tag
|
The platform from which the
message originated.
