
Start Maintenance Mode
The Start Maintenance Mode object
puts a monitor in System Center Operations Manager into maintenance
mode. All alerts generated by computers watched by the monitor
while in maintenance mode will be ignored.
How it is used
Use the Start Maintenance Mode
object to ignore alerts at the start of maintenance procedures to
prevent false alerts from being generated.
Configuration
To configure the Start Maintenance
Mode object you need to know which System Center Operations Manager
connection you will use, the name of the monitor that you want to
put into maintenance mode, the reason, and duration of the
maintenance mode.

Click the ellipsis button (...) and select the System Center
Operations Manager connection that this object will use.

Monitor

Click the ellipsis button and
select the name of the monitor that is being put into maintenance
mode.

Reason

Click the ellipsis button and
select the reason why this monitor is being put into maintenance
mode.

Duration
|
You must configure a duration
for maintenance mode. The minimum duration is five minutes. Select
the duration from the spin box.
