Search Text
The Search Text object is used to search for text in a file that you specify.
How it is used
Use the Search Text object to find a user name in a log.
Configuration
To configure the Search Text object you need to know the path and filename of the file that you want to search in, and the text that you are searching for.
Details tab
 
File
Type the path and filename of the file that you want to search in.
Text to match
Type the text that you are searching for.
Case sensitive
Check this check box to perform a case-sensitive search.
Find all lines
Select this option to display all lines that match the text that you are searching for.
Find first line only
Select this option to display only the first instance of a matching search result.
Find last line only
Select this option to display only the last instance of a matching search result.
Connection tab
You must configure a connection to a UNIX computer before you can use this object. To configure a connection, see Connecting to a UNIX Server for instructions.
Select the connection name that you want to use from the Server drop-down list.

Description
SSHCmdOutput
The output from the executed SSH command.
Status Message
The status message for this object.
File name with path
The full path and filename of the text file that you searched in.
Full text of the file
The full text of the file that you searched in.
Line Text
The text that you were searching for.
Line Number
The line number in the text file where this text was found.
Number of lines
The total number of lines in the text file.
