Connecting to the HP OpenView Operations Server
The Integration Pack for HP OpenView Operations provides a single location to specify the connection information to your HP OpenView Operations server. Any Policy running on the Action Server that you have configured will use the same connection information to communicate with the HP OpenView Operations server.
To connect to the HP OpenView Operations server:
1.
In the Opalis Integration Server Client, click the Options menu then click HP OVO-U menu. The HP OpenView Operations (Unix) Settings dialog appears.

In the Computer field, type the name of the computer that is running the Opalis Daemon. It is recommended to use the fully qualified name of the computer. For example, ovoserver.abccompany.com.

In the Port field, type the port that is used to communicate with the Opalis Daemon. If you have not configured your Daemon to use a different port, the default value is 50000.

Click the Operator tab.

In the User name field, type the user name of the HP OpenView Operations Operator user. For information about the Operator user, see Security Requirements.
6.
In the Password field, type the password that is associated with Operator user name that you specified.
7.
Click the Database tab.
8.
In the Service name field, type the Oracle service name that you are connecting to.
9.
In the User name field, type the user name that has read access to the HP OpenView Operations Oracle database. For more information on the database User name, see Security Requirements.
10.
In the Password field, type the password that is associated with the database user name.
11.
Click Finish.
