The Archive object is used to store
permanent versions of data for a long period of time.
Use the Archive object to archive
files that you need to keep for a certain period of time for legal
reasons, eliminating the need to keep them on your desktop
computer.
To configure the Archive object, you
need to know the TSM policy domain and node that you want to
archive from, and the names of the files and folders that you want
to archive.
Description

Type a name for the archive. Do
not use wildcards, and do not type more than 247 characters.

Compress objects

Check to compress the contents
of the archive.

Continue compressing if object
grows
|
Check to continue compressing
if the size of the archive grows.

Delete files after
Archive
|
Check to delete the files from
the source computer after they have been archived.

|
Include only files in the
archive operation. Folders will not be included.

Wait for completion of the
schedule

Opalis Software Inc. recommends
that you leave this check box checked. If you do not check it, the
object may complete before its schedule completes, and it may not
generate Published Data for subsequent objects.
